CONGRATULATIONS TO RUMBIDZAI

Rumbidzai Nyamukondewa

My name is Rumbidzai Alma Nyamukondewa. Im a lady aged 23. I am a recently qualified Occupational Therapist awaiting to graduate. This is a 4 year program which I did with the University of Zimbabwe. It is a health science which is hosted under the department of rehabilitation. In order to qualify for it, 3 Alevel subjects are required mainly Maths, Biology and Chemistry although other science subjects can also qualify. I did my O-levels and attained 5As and 5Bs. Then I proceeded to A-level and I attained 9 points. I then enrolled at the University of Zimbabwe where I did my Bachelors of science, Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy. The journey was a tough one but with the grace of God I managed to sail through and conquer all the challenges that I came across.

Occupational therapy is an allied health profession which is mostly concerned with the well-being of people in terms of how they engage in their activities of daily living such as grooming and self-care. This engagement can be affected by physical impairments such as strokes, burns among others as well as psychosocial impairments such as stress and burnout, depression, other psychotic disorders. Therefore the uniqueness of our profession the one thing I’m proud of is the fact that it views the person as a whole and tries to counteract the limiting factors in our environments so the person can be as functionally independent as possible. In short I can proudly say I help people do whatever they want and are supposed to do within their maximum potential. I would like extend my gratitude to the donor’s trustees and supporters for your profound generosity and endless love and support you gave through this journey. Thank you so much. Below here are my final results.
