Getting involved in family gatherings like the choir practice for the upcoming TYP family wedding of one our brothers Devine is important for us with the practice sessions involving a lot of coordination between the choir such as the bass, altos, tenors, and sopranos and including the drummers. Singing has been part of our TYP culture for as long we can remember, it is something that we truly enjoy and find to be very therapeutic. We even managed to record Gospel CDs in different languages and sold them to obtain funds which were used to send youths to various colleges as well as to start small projects. We sold to countries such as United Kingdom, United States of America , Australia, and Uganda.
This previous weekend we enjoyed singing hymns and choruses in various melodies and languages such as Shona, English, Chewa, Swahili, and Ndebele as we were preparing for one of our biggest family events. Our sweet and loving Grandmother and TYP trustee, Dr Beata Tumushime led us through the choir session, we enjoy her company a lot and we love her.
To us choir practice comes with so many benefits such as having some beautiful moments of sharing interesting stories, riddles, myths, and proverbs. TYP is blessed abundantly as we experience things of getting to know God more in different ways for example praying whilst binding each other as a way of sharing strong love of God. We usually end our choir practice with a prayer from one of the youths , we recite our TYP daily prayer and Our Lord’s prayer and the closing song called “Bind us together’’ where we hold hands (bind) as we sway right and left .We thoroughly enjoy binding!
We want to perfect our brother’s special day because we really appreciate the great works of God in our family, “GRATITUDE IS ALWAYS OUR ATTITUDE”.

From the abundance of our hearts, we are thankful for your continued support and love. May God bless you.
